What the service covers

Beyond simple up or down checks, we track quality: a link can respond perfectly and still lose one packet in ten.

Talk it through with us

Equipment

Response time, load, temperature, port errors and power supplies on the firewall, switches and access points.

Internet links

Bandwidth, latency and packet loss for each connection, including the fibre line from your provider.

Failover tests

We regularly simulate an outage on the primary line. Untested failover has a habit of failing on the very day it is needed.

Rules and access

Firewall rules, VPN access for suppliers and a separate guest network, all managed centrally.

Firmware

Updated in agreed windows with a rollback plan ready.

Hardware failures

If a switch dies, we configure a replacement remotely once your supplier ships it, and your contact person plugs it in using an illustrated guide.

How we deliver it

Onboarding takes two to three days. From then on the service runs continuously, with a report each month.

01

Mapping

Which equipment, which links and what is connected to what.

02

Monitoring

Data collection, thresholds and alert routes to an on-call engineer.

03

Tidy-up

Updates applied, default passwords changed and needless openings to the internet closed.

04

Operations

We respond to events, carry out planned maintenance and report on outages and utilisation.

A backup line that nobody has tested is not redundancy, it is hope. It may have been cut off over an unpaid invoice, be misconfigured or switch over only when someone does it by hand. A quarterly test turns that hope into a verified fact.

Common questions

A basic set goes a long way: is the equipment responding, how busy are the links, are errors building up on ports, and is there room where logs are written. That catches most problems early, and the list grows after every unexpected incident.

An on-call engineer, never a shared mailbox. An email read once a day is no better than no email. We tune thresholds to avoid a stream of false alarms, because once that starts people stop reacting.

Usually not. Monitoring runs on our own platform and is included in the managed IT agreement. If you must retain logs yourselves, for example because of NIS2, the data can also be forwarded to a system you own.

Put your network under watch

Let us know the number of locations and the equipment installed there. We will connect monitoring and route alerts to an on-call engineer.
