What the service covers

We look beyond the hardware at the routines too: the way permissions are handed out, the offboarding routine when an employee resigns and the person responsible for checking backups.

Talk it through with us

Inventory

Computers, servers and network gear with model, age and warranty status, collected automatically by a discovery agent.

Licences

What you pay for in Microsoft 365 and other subscriptions compared with what is really used. There is almost always money to recover.

Network

An up-to-date diagram showing addressing and segments. For many businesses it is the first one ever drawn.

Backup

Does it exist, what does it cover, where is it stored and has anyone ever tried restoring from it.

Access

Admin accounts, MFA coverage, accounts belonging to former staff and where passwords are kept.

Risks and plan

What could halt the business tomorrow, what it costs to close each gap and in which order. Relevant GDPR and NIS2 requirements are flagged.

How we deliver it

Five working days for an organisation with up to 100 workstations. Your staff will barely notice.

01

Collection

A lightweight agent and read-only access to Microsoft 365 gather data automatically, followed by a short Teams call with whoever knows the setup best.

02

Video walk-round

Your contact person tours the server room with a phone camera, letting us see cabling, the UPS and labels without travelling.

03

Verification

We test-restore a file from backup, check what is exposed to the internet and review patch status.

04

Report

A Teams session to go through the findings and an action plan with priorities and estimated hours.

The report belongs to you whether or not you carry on working with us. That is a deliberate principle: a document any supplier or new IT lead can pick up and follow means you are never locked in to its author.

Common questions

Typically a single employee holds most of that knowledge, and even they have gaps. The assessment nearly always uncovers a forgotten firewall rule exposing a service, active logins for former employees, a machine that has gone two years without patches and a backup nobody has ever tested. That is not a criticism; it is what most organisations look like.

No. Collection happens quietly alongside normal work, and the video tour takes half an hour. Only the restore test is scheduled separately, and it goes to a test area so production data is never touched.

No. The plan is written so your own staff or another supplier can follow it. We give an estimate for each item, but the decision is entirely yours.
