Configuration is done within days. The initial seeding depends on your line and may run for a week with large volumes.

Restoring from the cloud is never faster than your internet line. Pulling one terabyte down a 100 Mbit/s line needs over 24 hours. Cloud backup is therefore your insurance against disaster, whereas a rapid comeback relies on a copy close at hand. You need both, each covering the other's weakness.

Common questions

Billing follows stored gigabytes and occasionally egress traffic. Most SMEs find the monthly amount small. Bills grow out of control only when old data is never pruned, which is why automatic deletion rules are configured on day one.

No. We use providers with EU data centres operating under European jurisdiction. Speed is only part of the reason: backups nearly always contain personal data, and any transfer to a third country must be justifiable to Datatilsynet.

No, provided the setup is right. Everything is encrypted before upload, and only your organisation holds the key. The catch: lose that key and the archive is unreadable, so key custody gets its own section in your documentation.

We restore the most important servers as virtual machines in an EU data centre, and staff carry on from home over secure access. The order of systems and the target time for each are set out in the recovery plan we write together with you.
